On June 29th, we had the privilege of being the featured guest on Genright Offroad’s Tech Talk with Tony. Our episode aired on Facebook Live, and covered more than an hour’s worth of valuable questions and insights about our switch panel products.

Watch the owners, and founders, of Switch-Pros talk live about the benefits and capabilities of the SP9100 and RCR-Force®12 switch panel power systems, and the significant differences between our tactile-style automotive switches and traditional rocker switches.

Highlights of the episode include how your off road lighting can interface with our switch panels, on anything from a Polaris RZR to a Toyota Tundra. Learn how our systems can be used to remote start your rig, control all of your lighting, and power other after-market accessories such as refrigerators, compressors and air lockers on your rock crawler or overlanding vehicle.

During the unboxing portion of the segment, our team discussed the differences between Switch-Pros brand systems and other custom automotive switches. Viewers marveled at the fact that the kit is complete, and requires the installer to supply nothing additional. Several viewers asked about the need to supply additional relays and/or fuses, and were impressed that the system is all solid state, and uses MOSFETS, instead of relays and fuses, and that the installer does not need to supply any components which are not already included.

Viewers also asked about labels for their light switch buttons. Laura discussed that the system comes complete with 100 polycarbonate legends, which allow the user to customize his switch panel to reflect the accessories that are being powered on his particular vehicle.

Another question that was posed related to the longevity of the touch panel and the ability for it to withstand the elements, including water and weather, in an open air Jeep or race car. The Switch-Pros team gave details about the system’s IP 67 rating, and the materials used in the manufacturing process, which make it able to withstand water, mud, and dust. They also discussed the reasoning behind our automotive switch panel being a tactile, polycarbonate face instead of a touch-screen, which, predominantly relates to the poor functioning of a touch screen when the driver is in dusty or wet conditions, or is wearing driving gloves.

The viewer participation made this a fact-filled and entertaining episode, and we are grateful for the opportunity to introduce Switch-Pros to all those who tuned in.
